School Council
School Councils play an important role in Victorian government schools. A well-informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to build and secure the school’s reputation. At UPPS School Council is the governing body of the school comprising parent and staff representatives including the Principal.
The School Council meets eight times a year and its function is to establish the broad direction and vision of the school, oversee the maintenance of the buildings and grounds, prepare the School Strategic Plan and the Annual Implementation plan, create policy and generally stimulate interest in the school in the wider community.
